Symphony, the most popular local brand has inaugurated a full scale customer call center recently. Symphony was providing limited customer support throughweb interface and phone calls. As the brand has grown so quickly(courtesy : android) - the demand for intensive customer care was due. Symphony has responded to that - and now, customers can call 16272(from all operators) on any working day for instant support.

The brand that now we know as 'Symphony' - was the earlier importer of Siemens handsets in Bangladesh. It is a long ago that Siemens has turned down their main focus from cell phone manufacturing - but that was not the end of their Bangladeshi counterpart. They started to re-brand low cost feature phones initially as 'symphony', and due to an abruptly growing cell phone market in Bangladesh - became a familiar brand across the country. So after several years, when the 'android wave' was on - Symphony was the brand to capitalize on it. Soon that familiar(but little respected) brand became the the most grossing brand for android devices. But after-sales service was always an issue with symphony - as that is the main concern for most re-branded android handsets. Now, symphony has taken their users concern in count and has come up with dedicated customer support team. Almost certainly, this move from symphony will push other local brands(walton, micromax ..) towards a more intense competition - which will slowly improve user experience on local smartphones.
